Marilyn’s heritage management consulting services include heritage research and writing, analysis and evaluations, statements of significance, management plans and context papers. Her passion is protecting and managing heritage places to create sustainable, flourishing and engaged communities. She completed her M.A. in Conservation Studies at the University of York, England, focusing her thesis on heritage management plans for inner city communities. Marilyn has also been involved with numerous city-wide and community heritage initiatives in Calgary.

She brings to her heritage projects the skills, experience and knowledge acquired from her previous engineering background, including project management and teaching. Along with a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, she has over twenty years of experience managing complex projects and global multidisciplinary teams. Her skills range from facilitating immediate solutions for technical problems to developing and implementing long term strategic plans. Her strengths lie in her analytic capabilities and her ability to foster an environment of collaboration, trust and alignment in diverse global teams.
